David Trappett Wins 2012 Captain’s Trophy David Trappett has defeated Brian Goodwin to win the final of the 2012 Captain’s Trophy. It was remarkably up and down match. Trappett jumped out of the gates and won the first 5 holes. Goodwin then made his charge – winning 6 of the next 7 holes to take up a 1 up lead! On an extremely windy day, Trappett rallied over the closing holes, retook the lead and won by a margin on 2 up. Amazingly, there were just 2 halved holes in the entire match!
