| At its most recent Meeting, the Board of Virginia Golf Club resolved to close Ordinary Membership of the Club. High demand for places in competitions and a desire to ensure existing members were able to regularly access competition places, led the Board to this decision. Ordinary Membership will remain closed until further notice. |
| Virginia Golf Club has now opened the category of Provisional Membership (in the class of Ordinary Membership) as permitted by the Constitution. For all intents and purposes, a Provisional Member shall have all of the rights of an Ordinary <ember (including 7 day access to the course) however they will not be permitted to place their name on the Saturday timesheet without coming through the Office. That is, they can contact the Office to go on the waiting list and on the Friday immediately preceding the Saturday competition, the Office will try to allocate them a spot in the field. |
| The fees for Provisional Membership will be the same as for Ordinary Membership and as soon as the Board determines that a vacancy exists in Ordinary Membership, Provisional Members will be converted to Ordinary Members (in the order of priority in which they were elected as Provisional Members). |
